Complex Cases

Medical concerns and immigration applications.

Medical conditions can affect visa eligibility, but a medical concern does not automatically mean a declined application. Head Start Visas has experience preparing strong responses to medical waiver requests and health-related concerns.

Medical Admissibility

How medical conditions are assessed.

New Zealand assesses medical admissibility on the basis of likely cost to the health system and the risk of harm to public health. Most medical conditions do not disqualify an applicant. When INZ has health-related concerns, they will send a letter giving you the opportunity to respond, seek a medical waiver, or provide additional medical evidence.

We review your medical assessment and INZ concerns

We analyse exactly what INZ has assessed and what threshold your condition has been measured against.

We advise on the prospects of a medical waiver

Some conditions qualify for a medical waiver. We advise on whether a waiver application is likely to succeed and what evidence is needed.

We coordinate specialist medical evidence

Where specialist reports or updated medical assessments can support your case, we advise on what to obtain and from whom.

We prepare your waiver or response submission

We draft a comprehensive submission addressing all of INZ's concerns, presenting your case in the strongest possible light.
